Back to school means making new friends! The main focus of this unit is to understand and share basic info to make a new friend or connect with Chinese-speakers at school. Students will learn to tell some personal info (name, nationality, likes) and do simple introductions to make friends with students at school. This is a great unit for brand new language learners.

What time is Chinese class?
中文课是几点?
Zhōngwén kè shì jǐ diǎn?

what time is it? 几点 jǐ diǎn 

几点 by itself is short for 现在几点 which means what time is it now, but you can use 几点 in other questions such as:
我们几点上课?What time do we have class?
我们几点去…What time shall we go…
etc.

Schools Starts
开学 kāi xué means to start the school year
去学校 go to school means school starts in a day.

School Ends
放学​​ fàng xué
